Build with the rules in mind

The details that matter.

Read the general rules and your category’s complete guidance. Technical limits include the robot’s battery and attached match equipment.

Inspection checklist

Present a complete match-ready robot. Check the battery, secure wiring, full weight, dimensions and control reliability. A robot must pass inspection before entering a match. Repairs and configuration changes may trigger reinspection.

Soccer: at or below 1 kg; 12 × 12 × 12 inches; up to 13.2 V; no combat weapon.

Battle Student: at or below 2 kg; 15 × 15 inch footprint; 24 V (6S); active working weapon.

Battle Professional: at or below 6 kg; 18 × 18 inch footprint; 48 V (12S); active working weapon.

Battle robots above their division weight limit are immediately disqualified. A missing or nonworking mandatory weapon also means disqualification. Other technical failures must be corrected and cleared before competition.

Awards, closing ceremony and pending updates

Awards and prizes are presented separately for Robo Soccer, Mission Code, Battle of Metals Student and Battle of Metals Professional. Prize descriptions, award places and the exact ceremony time will be announced.

Mission Code participants may leave after their assigned session and return for the closing ceremony.

Further updates will cover laptop arrangements and software setup, the final Mission Code task rubric, tournament draws and tied Soccer matches, Battle battery measurement basis, arena restrictions and rematch scheduling, and ceremony details.

Battle battery specifications are listed as 24 V (6S) and 48 V (12S). The organizer will confirm the inspection measurement basis and final arena restrictions. Check official updates before finalizing your build.
Before you register

A few useful answers.

Do I need to bring my own robot?
Bring your own robot for Robo Soccer and Battle of Metals. Mission Code participants use identical ZenKits supplied at the venue. Laptop provision and software requirements will be announced separately.
Who can enter each category?
Mission Code and Robo Soccer are restricted to school students ages 6–12. Mission Code is individual; Soccer allows up to four members. Battle of Metals has separate Student and Professional divisions, each with up to four members. Student is for first-time combat robotics participants. The school age restriction is not applied to Battle divisions.
Will Mission Code tasks be shared beforehand?
The judges reveal the task on site. The total 30-minute period covers programming, testing and the demonstration. Judges brief participants on completion conditions, scored attempts, resets and scoring before the session.
Does submitting the form confirm my slot?
The form saves your registration request. Pay the applicable fee, then send your payment screenshot with your reference for organizer verification and confirmation.
Can Student and Professional battle robots face each other?
No. Student robots compete only against Student robots, and Professional robots only against Professional robots. Each division has separate results, awards and prizes.
